Rutger van der Bent graduated from the Amsterdam Photography Academy. His images are often very cinematic and work on various creative levels.

'In my work I try to deliver a feeling; a state of being. Often this concerns the darker side of life, which for me is the deepest, and which ultimately attracts my interest. First, I roughly sketch things out in my head; often stirred by music or film. I really cherish the search that then ensues.'
